No matter what platform you speak from, you are full of 'Love' - it does not matter whether it is about sex, politics or religion or music - you speak from the heart. The Religion of LOVE as ibn arabi would put it! You remember there was a time when i was your worst crituic , now i am your best admirer!
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. says our beloved Plato!
Without Music , there is no soul ! and if there is no 'soul' in music , it is lifeless!
The Brown sahebs gave India Roads , Education ( they made Indians the best clerks)and pen pushers) and of course how to drink 'high' tea! The Mughals taught us HOW TO MAKE MUSIC, HOW TO DANCE AND COMPOSE POEMS . TtHE MUGHALS LOOTED AND PLUNDERED BHARATA MATA AND DESTROYED OUR TEMPLES AND SACRED SHRINES but both the British and Mughals taught Indians how not to Govern ! \Hence , hindus are in this pitiable state today because THEY HAVE NOT MASTERED THE ART OF SELF-GOVERNMENT! This IS WHAT HAPPENS TO VICTIMS OF 'ABUSE ' - THEY CANNOT 'THINK' FOR THEMSELVES!
It is 'music' that brings peopler together and it is religion that separates them!
My favorite sufi bhakta Kabir dasji says :
"Music without words means leaving behind the mind. and leaving behind the mind is meditation . Meditation returns to the source and the source of all is Sound! "
HINDUS CALL IT 'OM' AND MUSLIMS CALL IT 'HU' - SAME NOTES , DIFFERENT MELODIES BUT THE UNDERLYING MESSAGE IS THE SAME - love all your brothers!
